Nanofiltration & Concentration
Heavy rainfall in the Hunter valley region means both our Nanofiltration and Alcohol Concentration services will be very helpful to you. Nanofiltration can use a variety of molecular weight cut off membranes, as opposed to Reverse Osmosis (RO), which remains set. With appropriate wine temperature and wine clarity, Nanofiltration won’t process your wine at pressures any greater than 600 psi which is a promise RO cannot make. This is VA Filtration’s ‘wine first’ belief in action – we’re literally ‘hands off’ as much as possible.

Wine Concentration (Ultrafiltration)
Another great tool for winemakers to increase the weight and length of the wine, whilst still keeping the wine ‘balanced’. This increases quality dramatically with an average of about 5 – 10% concentration. It also increases the colour and depth of the wine.
For colour removal from juice or wine; removal of bitter tannins and even adding the concentration of colour. The applications and the advantages of Ultrafiltration technology are only just beginning to be enjoyed.
